As a kid I dreamt of being a left winger for Liverpool, but my football career never progressed beyond playing for Sunday pub league outfit - Whimple FC in the UK, so these days I just dream up ideas.
After graduating from art school in the UK, I travelled around South East Asia with my design degree rolled up in my backpack. And instead of going back to Devon, I stayed in Sydney met my future wife and enrolled in Award School in the hope that it might lead to a job in an agency. Which it did. My first grown up ad job was at Lowe.
A year and a bit later I went to Aussie Droga5 Sydney, where I was employee number six, three fun years later I moved to R/GA New York to be a CD, where I also taught at Miami Ad School, then it was onto Crispin Porter & Bogusky to work and ski in Colorado.
After four years in the US I moved back to Australia to Clemenger BBDO, Sydney to work as a Creative Director on the Mars brands. Three years later I left big-network-agency-land to freelance at the brand, spanking new 72andSunny office in Sydney. Its great fun here and everyone’s awesome.
If awards are are important, I've won pencils, spikey things and metal animals at D&AD, Cannes, One Show, Webbys, Spikes, Clios, Adfest, LIA, New York Festivals, YoungGuns and AWARD.
I love travelling, but probably won’t be doing much of that now with a little baby, photography, playing tennis and watching as much football as I can.
Hope you like my stuff.
